Nick Grinberg shares his outlook for the year ahead

Branding in Asia sat down with Nick Grinberg, Next&Co’s Head of Strategy, to unpack the three biggest forces he believes will shape marketing in 2025 – from the continued expansion of AI to the evolving demand for authenticity, and how recovering economies may reset the media landscape.

Nick explains that 2025 will be the year marketers get braver with AI, integrating it deeper into research, strategy, and creative development. “The tools are improving at a speed that human behaviour can’t match – which means the opportunity gap keeps growing. Next year is when organisations start catching up,” he says.

He also highlights the rise of user-generated content as a defining trend: “UGC has dominated because audiences want honesty over polish. Brands that build strong UGC ecosystems will let customers become their storytellers.”
